JAZZ EN CLAVE

Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 6:30 pm

Come and enjoy a memorable evening of Cuban jazz with the Juan Ruiz Quartet, featuring Takafumi Nikaido (Cuban percussion), Noam Tanzer (upright bass), Lolivone de la Rosa (electric guitar), and Juan Ruiz (clarinet and sax). A fusion of African and European musical traditions, Cuban jazz is immediately recognized by its rhythmic syncopation and joie de vivre. Jazz en clave will include an original repertoire of traditional favorites and new compositions. At its very core, it is the dance in the sound that invariably enchants and conquers the soul.
