TRES AUTORES CUBANOS DE MIAMI

Friday, April 26, 2024 at 7 pm

The New York City debut of new works by three Miami-based Cuban authors: Rosie Inguanzo, Ernesto G., and Alfredo Triff, all bonded by friendship and vocation. Each book represents a different literary genre: Ernesto G.’s chronicles Crónicas de la Pequeña Habana (Ediciones Furtivas), Triff’s collection of essays ¿Por qué el pueblo de Cuba (aún) apoya el castrismo? (Editorial Exodus), and Iguanzo’s book of poems Baladas crueles (Ediciones Furtivas), all dealing with contemporary Cuban themes. The presentation will entail an interactive performance, with an intertwined reading of fragments from the three books.

The authors will be introduced by writer Enrique del Risco, who also teaches at the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at NYU. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A with the audience, moderated by Prof. del Risco.

This event is part of our CreateNYC Language Access Series on Cuban History, Art, and Literature. It will be held in Spanish.
