‘THE NATIVITY STORY’

Given the resonance of Three Kings Day in Cuban culture, we respond to popular demand and open our 2024 Winter Season with Catherine Hardwicke’s The Nativity Story (2006), first streamed in the midst of the pandemic three years ago.

Praised for its original score by award-winning composer Mychael Danna, The Nativity Story is a relatively unknown production which first drew controversy for its hyper-realistic representation of the biblical story. Starring Keisha Castle-Hugh in the role of Mary, and Cuban-American actor Oscar Isaac as Joseph, it has since gained in critical acclaim for its historical authenticity and brilliant casting.
