The CCCNY caps its 2012 fall program and rings in the holiday season with an all-out dance party starring Sonidos de Cuba, the hottest Cuban combo on either side of the Hudson! Includes a delicious full-course menu prepared by the chef at the chic Victor’s Café, the indisputable emblem of Cuban cuisine in New York City. With multiple raffles, offering treasurable gifts honoring Cuba’s cultural legacy, valued at $50 or more.  And if you like sangría… it’s yours for the asking!

First Course

Tortilla Cubana. Cuban Omelet
Tamal. Cuban corn tamale filled with chunks of savory pork on a corn husk
Ensalada Mixta con Pera, Queso Manchego y Vinagreta Amontillado.  Mixed greens, Asian pear, Manchego cheese, baby candy-cane beets and cherry tomatoes with amontillado sherry vinaigrette
Croquetas Corral con Salsa Lulú.  Smoked ham croquettes with Lulu’s savory sauce of roasted tomatoes and cachucha peppers

Second Course

Ropa ViejaVictor’s house specialty.  Shredded Black Angus skirt steak simmered in garlic, tomatoes, onions and peppers
Arroz con Pollo. Bell & Evans organic chicken and rice casserole enhanced with sofrito
Lechón Asado al Estilo del Puerto Boniato con Moros y Cristianos. Roast suckling pig marinated in sour orange, olive oil, garlic and herbs. Hand-carved and served with yucca in garlic mojo

Sides
Arroz Blanco, Frijoles, Maduros.  White Rice, Black beans, Fried sweet plantains

Dessert Course
Arroz con Leche.  Creamy rice pudding scented with cinnamon and vanilla bean
Flan. Traditional Cuban-style egg custard topped with a light caramel sauce

Drinks:
Sangría, soda and coffee
